Today Oakland PD removed the community garden planted at Oscar Grant plaza which the occupiers planted yesterday.
I see how the tents could be a health hazard but seriously a garden? I don’t see how a garden is hurting anyone. The city could of used the money they spent destroying a harmless garden to do something for something much more useful like say save their failing public school district. If oakland wants the occupiers to cooperate with them they have to make an effort to work with them too.
